Circle of hope services is an approved
aged care provider under the Home Care Packages (HCP) Scheme. Since we started, we have made it our mission to help as many elderly people in Australia live independently and comfortably without worrying whether they can afford to care for themselves.
There are many service providers for home care in Carramar. But the difference between us and them lies not just in what we offer, but how we offer.
However, before we move on to what we bring to the table, let’s first discuss who can be eligible for the scheme.
Who Can Be Eligible For The Scheme?
The scheme was an initiative by the government to provide funding for those elderly who have needs that they cannot afford to pay for all by themselves.
You will have to give an assessment, which will help them determine what kind of services and funding you require. To qualify for assessment, you must meet some needs and age requirements. These are:
- that you are 65 years or older
- If you have care needs and are either:
- an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person aged 50 to 64 years
- homeless or at risk of homelessness and aged 50 to 64 years
- What kind of and how much assistance do you need? For example, if you have:
- noticed a change in what you can do or remember
- been diagnosed with a medical condition or reduced mobility
- experienced a change in family care arrangements
- experienced a recent fall or hospital admission
Once you pass the assessment, you will be provided a government fund based on your needs to cover part or all of your costs. You can find out more about
how aged care costs work.
The next step is to find a government-approved service provider for home care in Carramar, like
Circle of Hope, that can guide you to make the most of your funding.

FAQs
Q: Can I meet the support worker before they start?
A: Of course. We introduce you both before the start of services so you can see if you feel comfortable with them. If it does not feel right, we will find someone else.
Q: Are services available on weekends or evenings?
A: Yes, our times are flexible. The support plan can be made depending on which days and times you would prefer the services (be it seven days or just once a week).
Q: How do I get funding from the government?
A: You begin by registering with My Aged Care (1800 200 422) and getting an ACAT assessment. Once you qualify, a budget will be allocated to you based on your needs, and you can choose your package along with your service provider.
